These classes are fantastic. Every day is different so you never get bored or stagnant. Joann is so good at providing modifications for beginners and at the same time suggesting extra challenges for those who are capable. She is so motivating. She is constantly encouraging you and cheering you on. Having a teacher/trainer who is always so supportive and encouraging gives you the confidence to keep challenging yourself to try things you don’t think you can do. Joann is not only a fitness trainer, she is your cheerleader! Having just come back from a long absence of working out, Joanne was always encouraging me to continue, was able to provide many other opportunities (varying class times, monthly challenges or occasional videos) to ensure a time to work out. While working out, her words of encouragement helped me push to the end which made me want to continue coming back but most of all, helped me tone my body and gave me strength to continue. I just wanted to let you know this is a great class. It really pushed me and I was surprised that I was able to do it. I really liked the intervals. It made the time go quickly even though the exercises were challenging. Following the high intensity with the hips stretching felt really good and provided an opportunity for my heart rate to come back down and my brain to relax. -Heather (HITT and HIPS class)
I liked the HIIT and Hips class. I like the idea of 25 intense minutes and then moving into taking care of the hips. I would definitely go to this class if it fits in my schedule. The hip part definitely loosened up my hamstrings more than I have experienced before and that was very good. -Cathy
I thought the Hips and Abs class was great! I went in for the hips and hamstrings stretches and the abs and core work were bonus. As I train for the marathon, I realize how important core strength and stretching is and this class forced me to concentrate on that area. I also like that it was only 45 minutes and you used every second of that to complete so many exercises. Very valuable timing. Thanks! – Melissa
Thank you again for coming in on Tuesday! Your presentation was outstanding. I really appreciated the fact that you made it so user-friendly by providing very practical, simple tips, in a friendly and non-threatening tone, so that people weren’t intimidated.
The handouts were awesome – I think everyone really appreciated those. I wasn’t expecting those, but they were fabulous! It’s always nice for people to have a reference to look back on after the presentation.
The content you covered was perfect, and your speaking was great (tone, pace, using some humor – all fantastic). I only wish we would have had a little more time for you to cover some more topics, but that’s on us!
